when a demon shows up (meaning -- when you touch that dark place you were taught not to touch)

you can run

or you can find some inner stillness and listen to what he says

if you listen, perhaps you may learn something of value . . . at a minimum, it is likely to be at least moderately entertaining

after all -- horror films sometimes are fun

but, if you run . . . and continue to run

and the demon has something he's determined to tell you

all you've really done is waste your life playing cat and mouse games with a tiger

because the chase is a game you eventually lose

and the time spent playing ultimately
