sometimes you want to talk with Grandma but the lines are down or she's playing pinochle with your dead Aunt Susan or the weather is whack or . . . maybe she thinks you need to figure it out yourself
other times, maybe she really wants to "tell you something" and you're not down with listening. As I've said a million times: "if I didn't want to take time to talk with you when you were alive, why would I want to talk to you now?"
are there "dead people" who talk, or want to talk?
yes
but sometimes Aunt Susan can't say what you want to hear
because, truth be told, your "minutes plan" doesn't include having access to what she might say
and, if Aunt Susan and Grandma are (forgive the irony) just dying to talk with you
doesn't mean you are obligated to sit down and listen
the choice runs both directions
