one of the (many) things I have lost over the years (and feel sad about) was a boxed, signed autobiography from psychic Jeane Dixon
I lost my sunglasses Thursday night when I was out running, I stepped in a hole and I am guessing the impact must have caused the glasses to fly off my cap
anyway, I loved these glasses; I had them for 4 1/2 years
they were Oakley knockoffs I bought in Mexico and I brought them with me from Canada when I left there not knowing I wouldn't be going back to Canada
among the things I left behind in Canada (never to see again) was Jeane's book
so I was thinking about all this yesterday, feeling bummed I had lost my glasses, and especially bummed I had lost Jeane's book
and I decided I needed to SOMEHOW see if I could find another one of these books !!
this week is crazy because of things related to my mother but I decided to go, on a total whim (since there IS all this stuff "going on" related to my mother's care and I had just been the day before !!) BACK to Valley Thrift Store
thrift stores and book stores are very zen places for me and right now I am under enormous amounts of stress so taking a couple of hours to wander around is a positive "walking meditation" -- a CONSTANT in my daily spiritual practice
However . . . I thought "this, even for me, is kind of crazy" but the FEELING was insistent that I would find something "magical"
once I got there, I was looking through the books (even though I had pored over all of them just 24 hours earlier) and I saw an old book, without a dust cover; it had a plain purple spine and because of the contrast of spine and text, the title was hard to read
I passed on by but my "brain" stopped me because the "aura" of this book (as they sometimes DO) "lit up" to me
and I walked back down and stood in front of it
turned out that it was an old book on astrology -- incredibly by Jeane Dixon !!
it wasn't in great shape (and I already have this book, too) but (under the "circumstance") I picked it up and laughingly thought "wow" well there is half of my "wish" !! -- too bad it isn't a signed boxed edition !!
but when I opened it up, inside staring right back at me
. . . an autograph from Jeane Dixon !!!!
the odds of this happening, especially happening within less than 4 hours, with the added caveat of finding it in a store where you had been just 24 hours earlier? I would think THOSE odds . . . not so great
the book was 29 cents but -- and I didn't realize THIS until I checked out, since it was Veteran's Day (11/11) everything was "half off"
so I found an autographed book from Jeane Dixon -- not as nice as the one I had, but still !!
for 14 cents, literally, within 4 hours of thinking "I wish I could SOMEHOW find another autographed book from Jeane Dixon"
#GodIs
one additional make your spine tingle find from yesterday; within seconds of realizing this was autographed, as they "do"
ANOTHER book "lit up" to me . . . it was by a woman named Gloria Stuart (never heard of her) and it was called "I just Kept Hoping"
I opened the dust cover and the first thing I read was THIS: "When Gloria Stuart checked her HOROSCOPE on June 14, 1997, here's what she read: 'You are on your way to a big hit -- possible stardom" How right it was!"
ok -- having JUST 2 seconds EARLIER found Jeane's book on Astrology !!, you can IMAGINE how I felt !!"
but the freakee just keeps on giving: this is the woman who played the older Kate Winslet in Titanic; an actress in Hollywood active from 1932-1939 (the same years of activity for Adrienne Ames, by the way)
she found "stardom" and was nominated for an Academy Award at age 88 (a magical number !!)
so this was CRAZY finding her book -- but even the date is freaky
1997 -- the year Jeane Dixon died
June 14 -- Donald Trump's birthday
. . . ok, this should put the freak on a leash synchronicities to bed but there is still ONE MORE
I also lost my keys a couple of weeks back -- although I am not convinced my mother didn't "hide them"
anyway, I always had a lanyard to put on the key chain and I bought couple of lanyards in a bag (also for 14 cents) and in this bag was a beautiful blue lanyard
a couple of days prior taking the garbage out to the dumpster, I see two dice laying on the ground, one red one yellow
I thought "these mean something"
what exactly, I had no idea
but I picked them up, washed them off, and set them on a table next to the couch
so I am looking at this lanyard and it says 2013 (the year, by the way, I "lost" Jeane's book) and it also says "Believe in Magic"
in addition, very prominently it has two dice . . . 2013 is in YELLOW type, "Believe in Magic" in RED (as well as a RED magic lantern; think Aladdin)
and on closer inspection, this is a lanyard from Disney . . . it has MIckey in Blue (and, irony, DONALD in Blue hahaaha), Goofy in Green
and, in YELLOW -- PLUTO (I am a real planet, I ain't no fuckn "dwarf")
one more sort of amazing "thing" with this -- I just realized looking at the two die I found the other day . . . the red one is 5 and the yellow one is 6
5 = 6 = 11
CRA ZEE indeed
