I said my expectation was for APPLE's stock value (what she was assured was a "sure thing") would, contrary to the mythology and hoopla surrounding it, not increase, nor even stay steady, but instead drop rather dramatically. Four months later, that dramatic drop is quite glaring as share prices have dropped from $700 to around $450
What was going on with APPLE is a rather fascinating phenomenon, as it shows, quite glaringly, how the herd mentality influences valuations
APPLE "lit up" to me, as Facebook did prior to its IPO, as being an entity about have to have "issues" . . . and in retrosepct, it is interesting to see that this "lighting up" process seems to hold true, quite often -- which makes us "look pretty good" when looking in the rear view mirror
my predictions last year about Facebook added to my "resume" as a "predictor" as, now, it appears, APPLE does, as well
sometimes companies do, in fact, go through their own corporate "shamanic roto rooter". APPLE is in that phase now
