would be much better off if they invested that time and energy in self-improvement, rather than the sugar pill placebo of feeling "worthy"
because they found someone (temporarily) towards whom they could "feel superior"
those who got it goin' on don't gossip -- they "do things" and try to grow
. . in order to do even MORE things
