All the "is it possible I was Marilyn Monroe" seekers are sharing a thought that serves some deeper purpose . . . my "understanding" of myself -- seen in the juxtaposition of possible past life matches (the people on the internet I so breathlessly contemplate for a moment or a year as "me -- then / maybe")
is enriched by the process of hunting and "comparing"
those lives that touch us as stories that perhaps we shared . . . and the cognitive sparks that fly from attempting to understand what it "all means"
also serve a valid and important purpose
there is a functional value to this process of self-examination; each (possible) past life a mirror in which to see one's self
each peak a window into how God operates
and the process of searching for God and searching for past lives and searching for myself -- three ways of saying the exact same thing
changes me and changes my "consciousness"
and gives me fuel to do the things I do, with ever increasing ease and clarity as the years roll by
as a psychic
they're all "connected"
just as we are all connected with one another and all the other living organisms here and elsewhere
past lives are real; but the individual "current lifetime" that we think we know, as our baseline to find lives lived "before"
is probably limited
we see past lives as things that "happened" and God as a human somewhere else that looks like here, only without trash and old age
but it may be that past lives and this life are concurrent pulses of consciousness
all interconnected, the red light blinking all the time
past lives may not be past
since consciousness (another way of saying "the soul")
is not #confined to the body
the young girls wanting to be the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe are finding something of themselves
because they are seeing aspects of self
in the blending of self with "not-self"
consciousness does not stop and start within us
