Hitler came about because of the Depression and Trump is coming to the fore because of the Second Great Depression (prettied up with the term "Great Recession") that swept in like a wild fire in 2007/2008 . . . the economics of 2008 planted the seeds of doubt that have blossomed into a giant weed-stained garden

and those people who saw their pensions stolen, their homes and farms stolen
they needed a boogie man to blame and a powerful "friend" to protect them
this "logic" paved the way for Hitler and it is the same "logic" that is paving the way for Trump
they are different personalities but serve the same #purpose
and they had two things in common with one another -- they were intelligent but "one dimensional" in their thinking and they were exceptionally talented #talkers
I said we would look smell and act like Germany in the 1930's and upped the ante with things like "if you ever wondered how everyday Germans felt watching a tyrant like Hitler come to power, well NOW you know"
this, of course, did not go "over well"
yet I continued saying it and knew one day what I was saying would be more visible to more people
