I told my ex-wife that I felt this man, the greatest racing driver in the world, shouldn't race the next day . . . that I "felt him" and felt he was not "right" to race . . . why do people have these wild notions but I certainly did . . . I told her that this particular day, (May 1, 1994) was not a day he should be on the track
I worried quite a bit about this race the day before and was not shocked to learn that Ayrton Senna, World Driving Champion, in Motorsport the closest thing at that time (and maybe any time) to a god
was killed, instantly, in a crash that should never have happened "at racing speed" the following day, just as I had feared
That was 25 years ago, today
Ayrton Senna, a national hero in his home country of Brazil, 3 Time World Driving Champion, a magician in every sense of the word (1960 -1994)
all respect :(
