the individual soul essence is tied to a dominant "Monad" -- basically, a soul genome (think kissin' cousins) in which multiple essences are "connected"
this is why those within a particular Monad often look alike as they share similar biological and spiritual markers
even if they are not DIRECT reincarnations . . . being within "the Monad" means you share certain dominant traits and also have access to shared "family histories"
just as you might look like your grandparents because you share similar DNA, so (too) will reincarnated bodies who share similar qualities with others within their dominant Monad share basic features, as well
