In doing all the "exploring" I've done with "Past Lives" over the past 35 plus years, I am inclined to believe
that we live in a universe in which the concept of Unconditional Love is the truth
and ideas about sin, karma, Hell, etc
are not -- instead I am inclined to look at these ideas (and the attitudes that come with them) as projections from deep within the psyche that have been made manifest
due to fear
much like a child in a dark room
as we turn on the lights in the bedroom and the dark stops and we can suddenly see there are no boogey men, that it is all ok, so (too) do we lose our fears as we turn on the light within us
I don't believe in an eye for an eye type of karma -- we come to learn
we don't come to "pay for our prior sins"
this is my belief
the Earth is like college . . . we come here for specific lessons but to have a chance of "understanding", we have to fulfill certain pre-requisites before being admitted
some major in the Humanities, others in Business or Engineering or Social Work . . . bur we all have certain courses in common before we can earn our degree
as we turn up the wattage on our "inner light" (to me, synonymous with embracing God in whatever way we "do"), we also come closer to seeing
that the universe is ok . . . and we are ok
and that whatever we go through, ultimately, is based in something good
and not something designed to punish
this is, also, my belief
that there is a Godly presence and this is not a God who judges
but instead a God who loves
