of sexual abuse
"It wasn't my fault" . . . because, for sure, it wasn't
30 years of work as a professional psychic has led me to this conclusion; more than all other factors, unconscious drives arising from sexual and physical abuse as children
influence why we may be "challenged" to lead happy, productive lives
the abuser not only DOES the abuse but, to further compound the damage, also attempts to "frame the way in which the abuse is PERCEIVED"
serving to (a) protect (or try to, anyway) the abuser and (b) "confuse" the child, who often, as an adult
cannot fully trust his or her "instincts"
since he/she was told what happened, "didn't"
cognitive dissonance
it wasn't until I became a professional psychic that I had even the slightest clue how pervasive is this issue
how tragically "common"
"it wasn't my fault" . . . because when you're 4 years old, how (exactly) could it be ?? :(
