and I am in the cheese section when I turn around and see this woman sort of looking at me . . . I had "seen her" earlier and this was (how best to say it) a really really "attractive woman" . . . tight little shorts, as well as the shoes often described with a word you often hear me say -- and no, it is not "unicorn" (just add pumps to the end)
so when I see her looking at me and my cheese, I suddenly flashed to seeing her in the aisle 10 minutes earlier . . . hang with me here, you'll enjoy this
so suddenly now everywhere I go, this woman goes the same place . . . and each time she walks past me, gives me sort of this "half look" kind of something and then bends over to look at whatever is on the bottom shelf . . . I wasn't aware people could actually bend like that
and with each new drive-by bend-over my resolve to "talk" begins revving up
this was an older woman (obviously a relative term considering your friendly narrator's age)
but someone "used to" being noticed -- there is a very definite energy people have who have caused heads to turn, no matter their age (I am guessing she was mid to late 40's, maybe younger, who knows)
she has that "look at me thing" though, no doubt . . . as, I guess you could say, I do, too
and so after the 3rd or 4th sweep of the bottom shelves of wherever we were, I decided "ok, this is silly; it is time to talk"
and just as I start to part my lips to say "something" . . . I see this dude come up -- I had also seen him earlier, too . . . some boy about 6'8" in each arm
now I am sleek and badass, a light middleweight kind of banger kind of guy . . . but this was one of those working man gun rack tire iron heavyweight assassin kind of dudes
and when she saw him she went scurrying (and yes this is the proper word to describe her sudden up and gone thang) over to "her man"
and as soon as my lips returned to their relaxed state, this song began running through my mind
and . . . for your Memorial Day "entertainment", I am sharing it with you :)
