that trump would #resign . . . and that he would do so
as a result of past financial #crimes coming to light -- these crimes, the interlinking of his business(es) with Russian oligarchs and perhaps Saudi princes . . . will be found to have been not only illegal transactions (involving laundered money) but the possibility exists, as well, that trump's core business wasn't limited only to laundering money
but, also, it may become clearer and clearer that trump, himself, was actively engaging in lines of business that were, at a minimum . . . just a wee bit
"outside the law"
as Schiff and others begin actively following the money trail -- and investigations into potential fraud cases lead SDNY agents to uncover a suspect money trail going back decades
these "irregularities" will begin to add up
on top of all that -- there is likely, too, evidence (upon closer inspection) of a long-term history by trump of tax fraud: misstating property valuations and/or overstating losses
as well as, on the other side of the coin, overstating assets to secure loans -- loans which, in most cases, were never paid back
the financial noose will close around trump . . . I still expect trump's past financial "crimes" -- money laundering, racketeering, tax fraud
to be uncovered
at which point it would not be unreasonable for him to plea-deal his way to lesser crimes, and lesser financial penalties
on the proviso he resign from the presidency
I don't "know all" but this was my original baseline for the how and why of my prediction he would resign
as investigators close in on him -- as well as Don, Jr and (most especially) Jared Kushner
it will get . . . in my opinion
#complicated
