. . . as a medium, you are connecting with a holographic spiritual imprint of Aunt Petunia . . . this doesn't mean that she is sitting in Heaven in a rocker waiting for your call
energy leaves a trail -- this doesn't mean it is a static unit
it is both here AND there so your Aunt Petunia could be off again somewhere else
but the spiritual essence CORE is visible "to those with the power to connect with it"
and that is what a medium connects with
there is nothing that says there is finite energy
people can incarnate multiple times all at once as they are simply expressing themselves in ways (through a physical "birth")
that are reflective of a dominant spiritual essence
and I have written about this many times and wrote a book about it
and answered this question on air 50 times, at least

she can be Uncle Bob right now somewhere else or split into multiple physical "expressions" of her "core"

because it's not
she is not ONLY one static "thing"
she has a dominant essence -- that is who SHE IS
Aunt Petunia is a subset of the essence and, as such, can be viewed as that "formal configuration"
but you are not literally connecting with Aunt Petunia as a finite energy signature
you are connecting with the holographic expression of a dominant essence that resides BEHIND Aunt Petunia
