It is good to "think positive" but shit happens, nonetheless
my "belief" is that we grow through "adversity" and to think we come to "Planet Earth" to do nothing but frolic in the sunshine
and use the world as our personal catalogue of goodies
is, to me, missing the point
if, as I believe, we continue to "reincarnate", there must (theoretically) be a PURPOSE to this continuity
one of those challenges we may choose, or not, to "accept"
is to think outside of ourselves and look at the good of the "collective"
rather than simply focus on what works for the individual
as well as face the tendencies each of us bring with us to respond in set ways . . . "patterns" is the umbrella we often use to cover the various crazy short-sighted emotional tirades to which we all, at times, may stumble
taking the high road is what we are "aiming at" -- it is what propels us up a step or two on the karmic ladder to "enlightenment"
which, to me, is a metaphor for kindness and compassion -- not some great cosmic display of fireworks
but, instead, kindness, tolerance, love for others -- THAT is "enlightenment"
simple in theory, but not so common
the 1930's was certainly a time in which those orientations, "pre-set" knobs, to life were "challenged"; today another
when people tell me to "think positive" and stop talking about the things (to me, OBVIOUS things) I "see"
once my eyes stop rolling in my head
I come to this conclusion -- they have chosen NOT to grow
because they have CHOSEN not to challenge the pre-set emotional knobs on their karmic dial
to see challenges is to move towards a solution
this is my "philosophy", so I "disagree" with "positive thinkers" who cannot / will not ALLOW the negativity of the world to "invade" their consciousness
this doesn't make the negativity "go away"; instead, it guarantees the negativity will expand, unchecked
the "Shamanic Roto Rooter" is a gift, although it comes in an ugly box
see what is broken and meet it head on -- without this first "recognition" there is no possibility for growth
because there is no recognition of "root cause" to the problem
knowing it will break -- SAYING it will break
doesn't cause problems -- PRETENDING it won't break
because YOU DON'T WANT IT TO
. . . that often leads to a big, unpleasant surprise LATER
because the original "issue" just kept getting bigger and bigger since no one "bothered" to clean the mess up
it expands . . . a body in motion blah blah blah keeps rollin' on
forewarned etc etc etc -- that whole speech, ya know ??
THAT is why I have repeatedly put my pretty little neck in so many people's pre-set bagel slicer
waiting to make two pieces, to make it easier to butter -- but, so far, I am still standing
my "predictions" are "suggestions" to build your house of bricks
but straw is plentiful so I understand it
but the wind will blow no matter what
